Camping With Toddlers to Teens
Evergreen Campground offers all kinds of family-friendly activities. Here is a list of must-do activities while visiting this Wisconsin campground.
1. Bring Bikes for the kids
This bike-friendly campground offers bike racks by all the amenities – and the racks are filled with bikes at all times during the day! Kids (and adults) love to bike around this campground from the lake to the pool to the game room and camp store.
If you can’t fit bikes or don’t want to pack them, no worries. You can rent pedal carts on-site!
You’ll find 3 heated pools (one being a baby pool perfect for camping with toddlers!), a waterslide, and a 3,000 square foot splash pad along with plenty of sun chairs.
If you don’t want to walk back to your campsite for snacks or drinks, you have access to some great options at the pool with Chippy’s Tiki Bar.
If you’re over 21, there is even an adult pool with a swim-up bar!
3. Visit Chippy’s Sports Beach
A day can’t go by without time spent at the sports beach. The beach area is another reason this is one of the best campgrounds in Wisconsin.
Kids and adults will have a blast bouncing, jumping, and swimming the afternoon away on the Wibit inflatables.
This sandy beach is located on Kusel Lake and offers Water Craft Rentals, Wibit Inflatables, and Chippy’s Concession. The inflatables are by far a huge draw for kids, along with the slides and sandy bottom lake.
4. Stop at one (or all) of the 5 playgrounds
Kids of all ages will have fun playing on the playgrounds within this camping resort.
There are campsites that surround this playground. It’s a kid favorite! You’ll find the jumping pillow right behind the pools. Another kid-favorite activity!
5. Take a Ride On Chippy’s Express
A trip to this top-rated campground in Wisconsin is not complete without a ride on Chippy’s Express!
For just $1.00 the Chippy Express takes you on a trip around the park, with a bag of popcorn to enjoy along the way. The 15-minute cruise is a family favorite.
6. Mine For Gemstones
Gemstone mining is an educational, fun, and easy way to search for natural gemstones the old fashioned way.
The water flows from a water tower through various drops and turns into a wooden sluiceway. On the bottom portion of the sluice, people sift through the gemstone mining rough using a panning tray to discover various gemstones.
Gemstone Miners will discover up to 25 individual gemstones which they get to keep as keepsakes or make jewelry with them.
7. Play a Few Games in the Game Room
This open-air Game Room is a hit with kids! Chippy’s Game room had dozens of arcade games where you can win tickets then cash them in for Chippy Bucks.
8. Try your hand at a round of Mini Golf
Play a round of mini-golf for just $3.50 by heading to Chippy’s Camp Store to get your club and ball.
9. Get an Ice Cream Cone At Chippy’s Camp Store
Who can say no to ice cream on a hot summer day? With a nice selection of Cedar Crest Ice Cream, it makes for the perfect day.
If you forgot things at home, Chippy’s Camp Store carries everything you’ll need along with ice and firewood.
