Equipment
- cutting board
- round cookie cutter with a flat edge or uncrustable cutter
Ingredients
- 8 slices white whole wheat bread or gluten-free bread
- 6-8 tablespoons peanut butter
- 2-4 tablespoons jelly
How To Make Uncrustables
- Prepare the sandwiches. Spread peanut butter onto each slice of bread (this helps prevent the jelly from seeping through the bread!). Add jelly to one side of each sandwich and spread a little in the middle of the bread. Place the other piece of bread on top.
- Cut and seal sandwich. Using the uncrustable cutter, slice the sandwich, then use the flat surface to press and seal.
- Freeze. Place into ziplock freezer bags or wrap in plastic wrap then freeze.
Sealing Uncrustables
We used an uncrustable cutter to seal these sandwiches. It removes the crust while keeping all the ingredients sealed inside!
A drinking glass with a thick rim or round cookie cutter with a flat edge could also be used. Pinch the edges or use press a fork around the edges to close the sandwich if not completely sealed.

love this idea but have struggled with GF bread not crumbling, what’s your favorite bread for this?

I like using Canyon Bakehouse Mountain White bread. It has a larger size than many other gluten free breads.
