Crockpot Refried Beans are made from dry beans in your crockpot or slow cooker. These vegetarian refried beans work as a side dish or use in your favorite recipes. Gluten-free.
Prep the beans. Rinse dry beans in a colander, picking out any bad beans.
2 pounds bag dried pinto beans
Combine the ingredients. Add all ingredients to crockpot. Stir.
2 pounds bag dried pinto beans, 1 large onion, diced, 4 ounce can chopped green chilies, 1 tablespoon salt, 2- 4 tablespoon minced garlic, 1 tablespoon cumin, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 10 cups water
Cook. Cook on high 4- 6 hours or until beans are easily mashed.
⭐️Serve. Use an immersion blender to puree beans, or potato masher to mash until desired consistency is reached. Add extra water if needed for smoother consistency. Adjust salt to taste.
