Our gluten free sesame chicken will become your new go-to dinner! Chunks of chicken are tossed in a blend of seasoned eggs and cornstarch, panfried, then simmered in an addictively good sauce. Dairy-free.
Prep the chicken mixture. In a medium-sized mixing bowl combine the egg, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken and mix until completely coated. Set aside.
Make the sauce. In another mixing bowl combine the ketchup, tamari, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, 2 tsp. cornstarch, garlic, sesame oil, and ground ginger. Set aside.
1/2 cup ketchup, 1/3 cup tamari, 1/4 cup honey, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 2 tablespoons rice vinegar, 2 teaspoons cornstarch, 1 teaspoon minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger, 1 teaspoon sesame oil
⭐️Cook the chicken. Add the olive oil to a large skillet. Heat over medium-high heat until the oil starts to shimmer. Add the chicken. Cook for 2-3 minutes, flip then cook an additional 2-3 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.

⭐️Add the sesame sauce. Add the sauce to the chicken. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 2 minutes or until the sauce starts to thicken.
Serve. Serve over rice and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.

Notes
Boneless, skinless chicken thighs or chicken tenderloins can easily be cut into the 1-inch chunks instead of chicken breasts if desired.
Soy sauce is not gluten-free, making checking labels extremely important. We recommend using tamari for this dish and any other Asian inspired recipe. Made without wheat, tamari is a celiac safe alternative to soy sauce. Coconut aminos is another soy sauce substitute that can be used to obtain flavor without adding gluten.
Store any leftovers in an air-tight container for up to 3 days in the fridge. Reheat by microwaving in increments until hot.
What To Serve
Stir Fried Veggies. A combination of snap peas, bell pepper slices and mushrooms stir fried in a pan is absolutely delicious when served with this recipe. You can even search the frozen veggie section at your local grocer to find a stir fry mix to easily heat and mix with the chicken.

Rice. Whether opting for Basmati or brown rice, this dish is great served with a bowl of rice if desired.
