A simple pot roast seasoning made with ingredients you likely have on hand including brown sugar, garlic powder, and Italian seasonings. You can use this seasoning on everything from chuck roasts to chicken breasts. Gluten-free.
Combine the ingredients. Add the brown sugar, Italian seasoning, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper to a bowl. Blend well. Add the bay leaves.
2 tablespoons brown sugar, 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning, 1.5 tablespoons coarsely ground salt, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 tablespoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon pepper, 2 large bay leaves
Use or store. Use on a roast of choice or store in a ziplock bag for later.
Notes
Use 2-3 Tablespoons of seasoning per pound of meat. Adjust the amount depending on personal preference.
This seasoning blend can be made in bulk and used within 6 months. After this time, the spices will start to lose flavor and potency.
Store in a cool dark place like a cabinet or pantry.
