My family loves hot chocolate in the winter months. My favorite hot chocolate made with Hot Chocolate Bombs is always a hit. But sometimes you gotta change it up. Enter this super pretty strawberry hot chocolate.
This is the perfect recipe to let your kids help in the kitchen. In just 5 simple steps, your kids can create a delicious holiday drink.
My daughter loves to top her pink cocoa with whipped cream and heart-shaped sprinkles while my son tops his with double the whipped cream and slices of fresh strawberries. What will your kids garnish with?!
HOW TO MAKE
- Place milk into a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 1 minute, stir, then heat in 30-second increments until hot, but not boiling.
- Once heated, stir in white chocolate chips. Stir until melted.
- Add strawberries to the blender. Pour in hot milk mixture.
- Puree until smooth.
- Pour into glasses and garnish with whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and sprinkles!
First things first, gather the ingredients.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups frozen strawberries, thawed
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- optional: whipped cream, valentines sprinkles, fresh strawberries
Next, place milk into a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl.
Heat for 1 minute, stir, then heat in 30-second increments until hot, but not boiling.
Once heated, stir in white chocolate chips. Stir until melted.
Add the frozen, but thawed, strawberries to the blender.
Pour the hot milk mixture into the blender.
Puree until smooth.
PRO TIP: Fresh or thawed frozen strawberries can be used for this recipe. Using the strawberries frozen will result in cold pink chocolate milk 🙂
Pour into glasses. Garnishing with whipped cream, fresh strawberries, white chocolate chips, and/or sprinkles!
