Ingredients for Creamy Ranch Hummus:
- 2 (15 oz.) cans garbanzo beans drained and rinsed. Reserve 1⁄2 cup of the aquafaba (the liquid in the can) before draining.
- 1 packet dry ranch salad dressing & seasoning mix
- 1/2 lemon juiced
- 1 /2 cup reserved aquafaba
- 2 tbsp. Tahini optional
- Olive oil optional
Instructions:
- Add garbanzo beans, dry ranch dressing, lemon juice, and tahini into high-speed blender.
- Add aquafaba 1 tbsp at a time to help blend ingredients. Continue to add liquid until desired consistency is achieved (I used about 6 tbsp.)
- Serve drizzled with olive oil alongside veggies for dunking.
Ranch Flavored Hummus FAQs:
Aquafaba is the liquid from cooked chickpeas. You can get aquafaba by draining a can of chickpeas and saving the liquid. The aquafaba helps to thicken the hummus creating a creamy texture.
Any fresh vegetable such as snap peas, radishes, carrots, cherry tomatoes, mini bell peppers, zucchini and/or broccoli pairs well with ranch hummus. Serving vegetables is a great way to encourage your family and friends to eat more veggies! Crackers or chips also make a great dipping option.
Nope! Tahini is added to traditional hummus recipes. However, tahini is listed as optional for this recipe since this hummus is already bursting with flavor. If you have tahini at home then feel free to add. If not, don’t feel like you need to make a special trip to the store.
