How To Make
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Prepare the pan with nonstick cooking spray.
From the box of cheddar bay biscuits remove the flour mix and set aside the seasoning packet.
Pro Tip: You can throw the packet away or use it for something else like to season a veggie dip, baked chicken, or cheesy rice.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour mix with cool water, stirring until combined. In a separate mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar with the cinnamon.
Using clean hands or a spoon, scoop about a 1-tablespoon portion of dough. Roll it gently into a ball and coat it in the sugar mixture. Place into the prepared Bundt pan. Repeat until all the biscuit dough is used.
In a small mixing bowl combine the brown sugar with the melted butter and vanilla. Pour over the biscuit dough.
Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let rest for 5 minutes then turn over onto a serving platter. Use a spatula to go around the edges to loosen the bread. If some of it sticks, use the spatula to remove it from the pan and place it onto the bread filling in the gaps.
Serve hot as is or top with gluten-free icing.
Recipe Tips and Tricks
Pan Preparation: Make sure to coat the bundt pan thoroughly with nonstick cooking spray to prevent the cake from sticking. You can also consider dusting it with gluten-free flour for extra insurance.
Mixing the Biscuits and Sugar: When combining the flour mix with cool water, do it gradually to avoid lumps. A whisk can help in achieving a smooth batter.
Coating Biscuits in Sugar: For an even coat, you can place the sugar mixture in a shallow dish and roll the biscuit balls in it. This can help ensure they are uniformly covered.
Caramel Sauce: Ensure that the brown sugar is well combined with the melted butter and vanilla to form a smooth sauce. Stir thoroughly to avoid any lumps.
Baking Time: Keep an eye on the cake as it bakes. Oven temperatures can vary, so the toothpick test is a great indicator. If the toothpick comes out clean, the cake is done. If not, give it a few more minutes and check again.
Resting Time: Allowing the cake to rest for 5 minutes after baking helps it to set. This step also makes it easier to transfer the cake onto a serving platter.
Loosening the Monkey Bread: Using a metal spatula to go around the edges is a good technique. You can also gently tap the bottom of the pan to help release any stubborn areas.

Hi. The ingredients call for GF Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuit mix but then you mention GF Bisquick. Can they be used interchangeably?
Jodi Danen, RDN says
Hi Melissa, Yes, you can also use GF Bisquick, but if you can find the Red Lobster biscuit mix I’d use that as it’s the one I use most often and works great in this recipe.
