We were inspired to create a homemade cream of chicken soup recipe after a long search for a celiac-safe brand to make our Gluten Free Chicken Casserole. That paired with a recent change to a dairy free diet and the options were very limited.
Now, we skip the search and whisk up our homemade version in just 10 minutes! Both gluten and dairy free, a single batch can replace any canned condensed soup.

- 3/4 cup chicken stock ✅
- 3/4 cup plain soy milk ✅
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch ✅
- 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning ✅
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

How To Make
Heat the chicken stock with the cornstarch
In a saucepan over medium-high heat, whisk together the chicken stock, cornstarch, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper. Continue to whisk until it starts to thicken.
Add the soy milk
Slowly whisk in the soy milk. Continue to mix until thickened to your desired consistency.
Serve
