What ingredients are needed?
Non-Dairy Cream Cheese. Typically made with cream cheese and blue cheese, our version uses Kite Hill non-dairy cream cheese alternative combined with mayo to create the creaminess everyone is looking for in a buffalo chicken dip recipe.
Chicken. You’ll also need shredded chicken for this dip. We use canned chicken for ease. Leftover shredded rotisserie chicken or freshly boiled chicken are two other great options to use if desired.
Buffalo Sauce. Last but not least, the buffalo sauce! There are many gluten and dairy free buffalo sauce brands to pour into this dip. Sweet Baby Ray’s is one of our favorites that has the perfect amount of spice.
Substitutions
- Swap canned tuna for chicken
- use leftover chicken
- add a can of diced chilies for extra spice or crushed red pepper flakes
- use BBQ sauce rather than buffalo sauce
