Description

Crockpot Green Bean Casserole recipe is a traditional staple midwestern holiday dish.  Make with canned green beans, cream soup, and french fried onions this simple crockpot recipe can be made ahead of time, then cooked the next day saving time and oven space. 


Ingredients

  • (4) 16 oz. cans green beans, drained
  • (2) 10.5 oz. cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup 2% milk
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 23 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2.8 oz. container French fried onions

Instructions

  1. Place green bean into the bottom of the crockpot
  2. In a medium bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, onion, garlic, salt and pepper
  3. Pour on top of green beans, gently stir
  4. Cook on high for 2-4 hours or low for 4-6 hours
  5. Before serving, sprinkle French fried onions on top
