How To Make
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper toweling and place into a mixing bowl. Add the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
- Place the shrimp mixture onto the air fryer pan. Preheat to 400°F. Cook for 4 minutes then flip and cook an additional 1-2 minutes or until they are white with a pop of red and are in a nicely shaped “c”.
Pro Tip: To loose of a “c” means they are undercooked and too tightly formed signals they are overcooked.
What to serve with Air Fried Shrimp
It can be served as an appetizer or main entree paired with any vegetable, rice or potato side such as Roasted Frozen Vegetables, Gluten Free Spanish Rice or Gluten Free Cheesy Potatoes. Air fryer shrimp is also delicious as a salad, taco or pasta topping.

If using large shrimp, fry for 5-6 minutes. If using medium or jumbo shrimp, adjust the cooking time accordingly.
Yes! You can cook from frozen by adjusting the total cooking time by 2-3 minutes. Depending on the size of the shrimp, you may need to increase more. The best way to know if shrimp is done cooking is by checking the shrimp internal temp, which should be 145°F.
You can buy fresh or frozen raw, peeled and deveined shrimp. You can purchase tail on or tail off, it is completely up to your preference.
If serving as an appetizer, we will buy shrimp with the tail attached for guests to easily hold. If serving as an entree, we will use shrimp without tails to make it easier to eat.
Storage & Reheating Instructions
Store in an air-tight container for up to 3 days in the fridge.
Place back into a preheated air fryer to cook until hot or in the microwave. Be cautious when microwaving as the shrimp may become rubbery if heated too long.
